Lost Your Health Insurance?

Losing your health insurance can be stressful. Below are the steps to take to help if this happens to you.

Step 1- Contact a licensed broker to tell them what caused your loss of health insurance, and ask if you qualify for a special enrollment period. It's important to note that no broker fees apply to the support you'll receive. Special enrollment period qualifiers include but are not limited to moving out of your plan network area, giving birth to a child, loss of minimal essential healthcare coverage, being unenrolled from Medicaid, loss of group healthcare coverage by an employer due to job loss, getting married, getting divorced and more.

Step 2- If you do not qualify for a special enrollment period, you'll need to wait until the next open enrollment period to enroll in a new plan for the upcoming calendar year. In this case, you may enroll in an individual dental plan, vision plan and supplemental health plan like our telemedicine plans that help for things like flu, sinus infection and other common medical issues. Supplemental plans also include options for cancer, heart attack, stroke and other potential issues. No enrollment period applies to our supplemental plans.

Step 3 - Increasing your first part medical coverage on your auto insurance plan will help protect you and your covered family members in the event you are in a covered auto loss and sustain injuries. This is a coverage that can be increased or decreased as needed, and the maximum coverage is often very affordable but can vary depending on your state.
